  • CNC Operator/Tooling Specialist

    Jacob Tingen has been an essential part of Southern Stone since 2019. As a key team member, he oversees our advanced machinery, including the twin-table sawjet, CNC router machines, and diamond tooling, ensuring precision and efficiency in every project.

    In addition to operating and maintaining equipment, Jacob manages the warehouse, keeping inventory meticulously organized and ensuring smooth workflow. He also plays a critical role in unloading and cataloging slab containers, maintaining a well-stocked and efficient inventory system.

    His expertise, hard work, and dedication make him an invaluable asset to the Southern Stone team, contributing to our commitment to quality craftsmanship and exceptional service.

    Taylor Britt has been a vital part of Southern Stone since 2014, playing a key role in our success and growth over the years. Specializing in importing AutoCAD drawings and converting raw digital template files into production, Taylor ensures precision in every project. He oversees our advanced machinery, including the twin table sawjet, CNC router machines, and diamond tooling, ensuring flawless execution. Taylor also manages our Slabsmith imaging, working closely with homeowners to create custom layouts that bring their vision to life. His expertise and dedication have made him an invaluable member of the Southern Stone team.

  • CNC Operator

    Victor Swithenbank brings over 15 years of expertise in the stone industry to the Southern Stone team. With a career spanning a wide range or natural and engineered stone, Victor has honed his skills through 5 years of hands-on stone installation and 10 years of precision cutting and CAD work on industry-leading machines from Park Industries, SASSO, Northwood, and BBM Paladin. In addition to his expertise in stone, Victor has 16 years of experience in tile installation, showcasing his versatility and attention to detail.

    Victor is also skilled in programming, CNC operation, and machine maintenance, including templating and ensuring machinery runs smoothly to deliver top-quality results. His dedication, precision, and craftsmanship are a valuable addition to the Southern Stone team.

    Beverly Vick has been in building, design, & sales for 26 years. Beverly came to Southern Stone in 2021, excited to be back in this business after retiring from Wilson County Schools.

    Beverly also has completed course work and received a certificate in interior design. With her love of color and design, she is excited to help each customer with the process of selecting stone for their countertops.

    Beverly enjoys working with every customer, from the smallest remodel to the largest new home build. She loves to see each customer's vision come to life.

    Taylor Thompson came to us in 2022 after graduating from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree of Interior Design. She has worked in residential and commercial design, drafted floor plans, and created renderings bringing design visions to life.

    Certified in interior design, Mamie has worked as an installed sales manager for two major companies, flipped multiple properties, and built two custom homes—handling everything from foundations to final finishes. She thrives on challenges, loves hands-on work, and is passionate about transforming spaces into beautiful, functional homes.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from North Carolina State University, which has equipped her with the skills to connect with customers and effectively promote Southern Stone’s brand.

    In addition to marketing, Taylor recently transitioned into sales, where she enjoys building relationships with customers and helping them feel confident in their decisions to create their dream spaces.
